Souriau takes Airbus top supplier honors....AGAIN

Souriau was honored as Airbus's 2011 Supplier of the Year for standard electrical parts, with an award presented during the recent SQAL Electrics Conference, held in Toulouse, France, last December. The award marked the 5th time Souriau has won this honor in the past 6 years.

In presenting the award, Airbus noted that, in a continuing difficult economic environment linked to consequences of the worldwide economic crisis of 2008, the Souriau group managed to cope with strong demand variations while preserving its level of excellence toward Airbus and their main subcontractors. All such supply chain efforts, coupled with a constant long-term investment policy in both production capacity and in new technologies, were cited in the award's presentation.

Airbus said the Souriau Group had also increased the pace of new product development and range extensions, thus accompanying the aerospace manufacturer in facing the new challenges of the civil aircraft market, in areas such as the reduction of fuel consumption, noise pollution, and the impact on the environment.
