Cable landing and near-shore lines work has been completed at the LINCS offshore wind farm.
Centrica Renewables Energy announced Global Marine Energy has put the finishing touches on the project related to the export cable at the site, which is positioned off the UK's east coast.
The facility will boast an installed capacity of around 270MW once fully finished and is a joint project between Centrica, Siemens Project Ventures and DONG Energy.
Mark Leggett, global marine energy chief executive officer at Global Marine Energy, noted the installation of power cables in shallow water is often a tricky task, with spring tides adding a further obstacle in this instance.
Mr Leggett stated: "Detailed planning, excellent support from the customer and well timed execution all contributed to a successful result."
The LINCS wind farm is on track to be up and running by the end of this year and is a development likely to produce electricity for more than 200,000 households.
