Cable assemblies playing a role in cancer research progression?

Date: 8/11/2011

Multiwire cable assemblies - products often used to help improve medical equipment - could well be playing a role in the UK's ongoing fight against cancer.

Indeed, Cancer Research UK has announced the winners of its annual prizes at the National Cancer Research Institute Cancer Conference in Liverpool.

The Lifetime Achievement in Cancer Research gong was collected by cell signalling expert Professor Chris Marshall, who is based at the Institute of Cancer Research.

Dr Harpal Kumar, chief executive of Cancer Research UK - which has roots stretching back to 1902 - said: "Their work has improved our knowledge of the disease and opened new opportunities to treat cancer. As a result, more patients will survive cancer in the future."

Other recipients on the night who may have found multiwire cable assemblies assist their efforts include the winners of the Future Leaders in Cancer Research award Professor Thomas Brunner at the Gray Institute of Radiation Oncology and Biology and Dr Sarah Martin at the Barts Cancer Institute at Queen Mary University of London.

Standard coaxial and multiwire Cable Assemblies are just part of Quadrant's extensive range of cable assembly and cable terminating abilities.
