SMP

The SMP series consists of micro-miniature RF connectors with a push on coupling mechanism, suitable for use up to 12GHz.

The impedance is controlled at 50ohm and the mating faces are designed in accordance with MIL-STD-348A specification, DESC 94007 & 8.

Cable terminations are either crimp or solder designs, for flexible and semi-rigid cables. They are primarily used in high speed signal transmission lines and particularly useful to absorb PCB tolerances. Board-to-board PCB connections can be realised using SMP 'bullets'.

Three different coupling mechanisms are provided:

• Smooth bore: sliding contact
• Limited detent: semi-fixed detent
• Full detent: fixed detent
